About Shannon Woulfe
The son of an accomplished singer and guitarist, Shannon played his first gig on drums at the age of 13. Since then, he made a name for himself in the central Illinois scene as a drummer and vocalist for many bands, including a long stint with “The Shake” and a member of the resurrected “Leaderdogs” original band.
Shannon moved to Dubuque in 2007, and spent many years out of the limelight focusing on career and family. In 2022, Shannon launched back into a new scene with a new cast of characters, starting doing duo acoustic gigs and filling in on drums with many local bands. In 2023, Shannon teamed up with many local music legends to play drums with the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra for their “Ultimate Rock Hits” and “Ultimate Country Hits” shows. He also performed his first acoustic solo gig, surprising the crowd with the versatility and song list.
Today, Shannon performs solo acoustic gigs around the Dubuque area and plays drums and sings with the wildly popular “Walking Molly” band. In addition, he still fills in on drums for some amazing acts, and occasionally finds time to team up with other great artists for duo performances.
